Northwest University - Southern Idaho Extension

Northwest University Banner

The face of Southwest Idaho is changing. Northwest University is now a physical presence at the district office in Nampa.  The administration, both from Kirkland as well as from Nampa, have finished the legal requirements to make this extension a reality!

Monday evening, from six in the afternoon until ten at night classes are held. Students come from distances that range from just a few miles to over 150 miles. They have come from Treasure Valley and from Magic Valley. They have come with a desire to learn more about the Bible, learn more about being an effective church leader, and learn more about the relational aspects of the ministry and gospel.

We have fourteen students studying at the present time. By the time the third course begins in February there will be a total of seventeen students. Some of the students have already taken some of the early courses being taught, so they do not have to repeat those courses.

The students vary in age but the average age is close to the mid 30’s. There are some senior pastors studying, youth pastors are not being left out either. Children’s workers and so many other students that are even now active in the Lord’s work. It is exciting and fulfilling to hear students telling each other how they are going to apply what they just learned to their ministry.

It is never too late to become a part of this adventure. John Wilkie is working toward starting a new cohort the middle of April. If you are interested, please contact him as soon as you can. His cell phone is 208-859-8583. The price is right, the time is right and the only value missing is you! Plan to become a part of the next cohort, you won’t be sorry.
